ZomBcon International is the world’s first-ever Zombie culture convention and premier horror experience for fans of all ages. In it’s first year, it attracted over 7,000 fans over the Halloween weekend. 2011 promises to be even bigger.

Our first year featured some of the biggest names in the horror genre from George Romero, Bruce Campbell, Malcolm McDowell and authors like Max Brooks and Chuck Palahniuk to name a few. It also included the cast members of Romero’s Day of the Dead with John Amplas, Scott Reninger, and Terry Alexander. We also had the entire the Evil Dead cast for the rare revival screenings and Q \& A’s.

ZomBcon International is proud to announce the return of their popular convention this fall hosted in the Emerald City (Seattle) starting on Friday, October 21st 23rd, 2011 for the second annual convention.

ZomBcon debuted to an overwhelming response by fans taking center stage last year over Halloween weekend with some of the biggest names in the culture.
With impressive explosion of fanboy appeal from an Evil Dead Wedding with Bruce Campbell to the 25th Anniversary of Romero’s Day Of The Dead with the Romero and cast. In it’s first year, it joined the ranks as a premier con in an impressive list of northwest fan conventions like Emerald City Comic Con, Steamcon, Crypticon and Norwescon. ZomBcon aimed to celebrate the evolution of the horror genre and icon, the Zombie.

Ryan Reiter, Artistic Director and founder of the popular ZomBcon and the annual Red, White and Dead Zombie Walk says “I grew up in Seattle, I love Seattle and I built this for Seattle, so we plan to keep it in Seattle for 2011.” He attributes it to the overwhelming support of fans through Facebook an email, who won us over in our decision. Reiter reminds us by saying “that’s who matters most, Zombcon evolved as a convention that zombie fans built out of our annual zombie walk. They who made this city the Zombie capital of the world and we think they deserve it for 2011.”

2010 was a huge big year for the undead in Seattle, from reclaiming the Guinness World Record Zombie Walk from Britain, it very own Zombie Research Society Chapter and now being the birth place of the world’s first-ever Zombie culture convention known as ZomBcon International.
