It’s “Cover the Uninsured Week” this week, with an appropriate local event coming to HealthPoint SeaTac this Tuesday, March 23rd from 5pm – 7:30pm for low-income families wondering if they’re eligible.
According to a press release from King County’s Public Health website:
Statewide there are approximately 70,000 children without health insurance. Many of these families are eligible, but parents do not know their children qualify for free or low-cost health coverage. For example, a family of four with a monthly household income of up to $5,513 may qualify. Apple Health for Kids works to enroll eligible children, and this week during Cover the Uninsured Week (March 22-28) local events will provide health insurance enrollment assistance.
