Continuing and final comment:
I understood the 3rd runway was to be used while construction on #1 runway and then would only be used for enclement weather and for landings only. Now it seems it's used for regular takeoffs that create the most noise as well as sunshine or not.
Another suggestion, they go to King County to cut the property taxes so I could afford to live in my house on a fixed income. If I don't sell, I will lose it because of taxes after 3 years. I know the City can't afford to receive less tax because we are in debt and the state is in the same position and they are adding more taxes on items to help pay the debt..(lucky I don't smoke but I love chocolate)...Enough crying in my beer, the meeting was good and I think something will come from it to make things better....Maybe I'll find a job by talking with someone or I'll make someone else feel better just listening to them.
Told you this article could be boring...but thanks for reading
Go to future meetings and keep trying!!

Continuing the meeting summary:
After the welcomes, Landrum and Brown conducted the "brainstorming" to gather information from us and get our concerns about the noise, percise items of concern, suggestions to reduce our stress and other thoughts.
I went to Table #10 and our facilitator was the best. She really listened and noted what was said on the board. We had a lady from Medina at our table so you know the noise and airplanes effect everyone in some way. The facilitator lives on Capital Hill and has helicopter noises constantly because of the hospitals, etc. in addition to the airplane noises.
It was noted how soap dishes to crystal vases shake to "feeling the noise in your chest and body. Some concerns made me feel lucky that my complaints weren't as bad. The "black sot or stuff" falling on car tops or porches was another concern. This could also damage our health, our environment, etc. (More in another comment)

A a citizen that lives directly under the flightpath of the 3rd Runway, I attended the Public Workshop #1 at Mt. Rainier last night.
This may be boring to most of you, but it's meant to encourage you to attend the future meetings, enjoy the coffee and cookies and tell them what you are experiencing and what they can do to make you life better.
Overall--good meeting place, good parking, room to sit and you could hear them. Signin with no lines, an agenda with a # of the table you would later go to...and the agenda and info was on the computer earlier at your home so you knew what to expect. (more later)
