I don't know who they think they are turning around that persons statement of "flashing laser lights"- reintroducing it as an attack on the planes! I know first hand exactly what they were describing. It is the new runways strobe lights that guide the planes when the clouds are 'heavy'. Yes, disturbing. It took me a few nights to figure out that the lights were not to warn of endangerment, nor were they of police crusiers/ firetrucks/ ambulance (precipitating a crime/ distress); yet simply an active runway. Made it a bit difficult to sleep with the sky being lit up as it gets during a heavy snowfall. I too, live under the third runway flight pattern.
