Children Dropped From Balconies In SeaTac Fire

seatacfire1

Three children were dropped from second and third-floor balconies as a major 3-alarm fire struck a SeaTac apartment building Saturday night around 7pm, according to various sources.

The children were all caught safely, but two women who jumped are at Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Around 100 residents were displaced by the blaze at the Emerald Place By the Lake Apartments, located at 3117 S 192nd Street (map below).

Some 75 firefighters from ten area departments responded to the blaze from south King County.

Investigators don’t know yet what started the fire, and will be investigating it this coming week.

  1. Can anyone tell me where I can obtain the autopsy report of the two people who died in the fire in SeaTac, the Emerald by the Lake apartments?
I know the names of the couple, I beleive. I was their godfather for their wedding in 1974 when we were living in the Philippines. I was in the Navy and he was in the Marines.
Their names were Rene, a Filipina and his was Eugene.
I look daily for the results of the autopsy on all local news outlets on the web but to no avail.
    Please help if you can.
    My email address is: jastahley2006@yahoo.com
    Thank you and God bless
